Your app data stays on your Mac.
Pomeroy gives Claude local access to Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Contacts, Messages, Maps and Shortcuts. Pomeroy never sends that app data to a Pomeroy server. Not the text, names, subjects, locations, counts, or a hash of any of it. There is no Pomeroy server to receive it.
A short list of requests does go out. This page explains each one in ordinary words.
What Pomeroy sends, and to whom
When you activate a licence, Pomeroy sends your licence key to Lemon Squeezy, the store, to check it is real.
Once a day it asks pomeroy.app whether a newer version exists. The request says nothing about you.
Four times at most — when you install, when Claude first answers, when the free allowance runs out, and when you buy — it tells our analytics service (PostHog) that it happened, so we can learn how many people who try Pomeroy go on to buy it.
What the counts carry
A random tag made on your Mac, so the four moments can be told apart from another Mac’s. It is not your name, serial number, or anything about you, and deleting Pomeroy’s settings throws it away. This means the counts are pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Switching it off
Click the Pomeroy icon in the menu bar, choose Set Up Apps…, and the last two rows are Keep Pomeroy up to date and Count installs and purchases. Both start on, both say what they do, and both can be switched off for good. With both off, the licence check is the only request Pomeroy makes — and if you have not bought a licence, it makes none at all.

Who we are
Pomeroy is made by TODO(founder): legal or trading name. Questions: hello@pomeroy.app. There are no user accounts, and no Pomeroy server holds data from your connected Mac apps.
Data the app handles locally
At your direction, Pomeroy reads apps already on your Mac — Mail, Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Notes, Messages, Maps, Location and Shortcuts. That reading happens on the Mac. We are not a recipient of it. None of it is transmitted.
Data we receive
Four usage events, at most, with a random per-install identifier made on your Mac: installed, first answer, free allowance reached, and bought. Purpose: measuring how many people who try Pomeroy go on to buy it. The identifier is pseudonymous personal data under UK GDPR. Retention: TODO(founder): retention period. You can switch the counts off in the app. Deleting Pomeroy’s settings throws the identifier away.
When you activate a licence, Pomeroy sends the licence key and a random instance label to Lemon Squeezy, so the key can be checked and later moved to another Mac.
Third parties
Lemon Squeezy is the merchant of record for purchases. It receives your name, email and payment details. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy.
PostHog Inc. (United States) receives the four events. The IP address on those events is overwritten to 127.0.0.1 and geolocation is disabled.
Vercel hosts this website. Visiting pomeroy.app is a request to Vercel, not a request the app makes.
Legal bases
We rely on legitimate interests for the four counts and for licence checks. UK GDPR applies to the pseudonymous identifier.
Your rights
You can ask for access or erasure, and you can complain to the ICO or a US state attorney general. Under Article 11, we usually cannot link the random identifier to a person, so we may not be able to find “your” events unless you still have the Mac that made them.
Children
Pomeroy is not directed at children. Do not buy or install it for someone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is dated on this page. Version of 16 August 2026. The free weekly allowance is currently 50 actions; the refund window on a purchase is 14 days.
